Fatal auto accidents may occur due to tire blowouts

Two individuals sadly lost their lives in a recent motor vehicle collision in Arizona. Meanwhile, another individual suffered injuries in the car crash. Sometimes, these types of auto accidents happen as a result of negligent driving, which is grounds for litigation.

The recent Arizona accident took place at a little before 11 p.m. on a Wednesday along Interstate 40. According to authorities, motor vehicle was going west along the interstate. All of a sudden, one of the motor vehicle's tires reportedly failed. Police said the motorist ended up losing control as a result.

The car reportedly went over the median before hitting a car that was going east. Police reported that the crash led to a fire that consumed both cars. The passenger and driver in the second car passed away in the collision, while the person driving the first car suffered injuries and was taken to a medical center.

Authorities in Arizona may determine that the person who drove the first car caused the accident due to negligent driving. For example, perhaps the driver's tires were recalled at the time of the accident or were known to be prone to blowouts. In this situation, the surviving loved ones of the two individuals who died in the accident may choose to file wrongful death claims the driver of the first car, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages. Liability must be established, based upon a showing of negligence, before claims for damages will be determined. Successfully fought claims might lead to damages to cover burial costs and other expenses stemming from these types of auto accidents.
