Auto accidents in Arizona may lead to serious injuries, deaths

A man and a woman recently lost their lives in a motor vehicle collision in Arizona. In addition, two other people were injured in the crash, which occurred along U.S. Highway 89. Sometimes, these types of auto accidents are the result of driver negligence, which is grounds for litigation.

The recent accident took place at about 4 p.m. on a Friday. Police said that a 21-year-old man was driving a car south along the highway and suddenly breached the road's center line. That is when he reportedly struck a car that was going north. He ended up dying at the accident scene.

A passenger who was riding in the second car also passed away at the accident scene. She was 45 years old. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old man who was driving the second car suffered injuries in the collision. A girl, 16, was also riding in the second car and suffered injuries. Both individuals' injuries were deemed not to be life-threatening.

The family members of the female passenger who passed away in the Arizona accident may choose to file a wrongful death claim in connection with the accident. Likewise, the two injured parties may file personal injury claims, seeking damages. Although the driver who reportedly caused the accident passed away, his estate and anyone else with an ownership interest in the car he was driving could be sued. If the plaintiffs are successful, they may receive damage awards to cover their medical bills, burial expenses and other losses tied to these types of auto accidents.
